Ballads on a razor’s edge

Singer-Songwriter; Rock

Solo, Duo

“The mostly mid-tempo arrangements tend to induce a trance-like state after a while, but those who like to dwell on life’s more difficult moments will find comfort in Cook’s melancholy musings.” —J. POET

BIOGRAPHY:

Austin culture pioneer, Amy Cook, is equal parts music and visuals. She's a SoCal original who migrated to Austin in the mid aughts via west Texas art town, Marfa. Not only has Amy created iconic Austin music, but she's also responsible for Austin's landmark, “i love you so much.” mural. Hundreds of people flock to the corner of S Congress and W James street to get their photo taken next to Cook's "i love you so much." mural. In 2019, Cook joined forces with local management boutique, The Noise Company, to release the epically soul-crushing breakup ballad, “Wasted with the Choir.” This spiritually cathartic anthem touches on gospel, with a touch of classicism and modern edginess.
